Help Top Off Toys for Tots

The holidays are fast-approaching and we’re amped because we’ve found a drop off for Toys for Tots in EV. theHIVE, right on the corner of 11th and F has a bin in their lobby. Swing in and toss a new, unwrapped toy in the bin and local Marines will see that it goes to a child in need. Gotta love the season of giving.

Thread Show San Diego is a Must

We’ve got a big one coming up this weekend….the Thread Show San Diego. This event is a whole lot of awesome things rolled into one event, so listen up. The old WonderBread Factory on 14th and J will provide the space for San Diego’s top independent fashion designers to showcase the products of their creativity. However, there will also be wine tasting, art exhibits, free massages and a push for eco-friendliness. If you’re at all interested in fashion, looking to get a head start on holiday shopping ( even if it’s for you) or sipping cocktails in the presence of the hip and savvy, you’ve gotta check this out. Admission is $10, but if you donate clothing or get there via bicycle, you’ll get $2 off. Nice!
